Who is this course for?
From complete beginners to those with some experience, you will receive coaching specific to your ability level and individual goals. Some students can be gently and slowly getting comfortable, while others can be pushing their limits. Hopefully everyone will be having fun!
In the classroom
There will be presentations on freediving research and methods. Learn how to relax the body and mind with simple breathing styles adapted from yogic practices. Later you will apply these techniques in water.
In open water
You will take turns to individually dive with the instructor. After each dive, feedback and guidance will be given. We want you to have fun and feel safe. Enjoying the ocean in this relaxed and supportive atmosphere is the best context for developing new skills.


Movement
Effortlessly invert (duck dive) and sink beneath the surface. Learn hydrodynamic body alignment and efficient finning so you can descend and ascend without wasting energy/oxygen. Graceful body and graceful mind. Become a fluid sea creature.
Safety
Progress with confidence under the watchful eye of your instructor. Learn to avoid, recognize and handle any dangers or emergency situations. Practice buddy systems and simulate rescue techniques in open water.
Discover your aquatic ability
Freediving is a latent ancient skill. When activated, the mammalian dive response (as seen in dolphins), is a set of natural physiological changes that maximizes your time underwater. We will help you unlock this potential, allowing you to explore the ocean with ease.


Lunch included…
Indonesian ‘Nasi Campur’ (translated: ‘rice mix’) is delivered to the school, ready immediately after you finish water sessions. Two set menu options (carnivore and herbivore/plant-based).
Continuing the journey
After completing the Molchanov Wave 1 course, you can enroll on the Molchanov Wave 2 course and explore even more advanced techniques.
