A one day freediving course. It is the first day of our Wave 1 course, run on the same schedule and hours. You will do confined water training and go into the ocean, so if you only have one day in Amed, this gives you a real freediving experience, not just a taste of it.
The day
Same schedule and hours as day 1 of Wave 1. Start 8:30am, finish 5:00pm.
- Classroom: breathing, relaxation, and safe surface recovery
- Ocean session 1 (shallow water)
- Free lunch included. See the lunch menu
- Classroom: equipment and equalisation
- Ocean session 2 (open water): equalisation, body alignment, and duck diving
Is there a certificate?
No. Discover Freediving is about trying freediving for a day, with no exams and no pressure. If you love it, add day two and you can earn your Molchanovs Wave 1 certification.
Want to keep going?
Add day two for IDR 2,400,000, usually the very next day with the same group, or within a week. Day two completes the full Wave 1 course, and you can then take the certification (the certification fee is separate and paid only if you pass).

Worth knowing before you book
- Max 3 students. You join the first day of a Wave 1 group, so no separate course is run just for you.
- Photos and video included, same as Wave 1.
- A medical questionnaire is required, same as Wave 1.
